A Qualer alternative for focused calibration management
Qualer is now part of MasterControl's Asset Excellence suite for life-science asset and maintenance work. Gaugelog focuses on ISO 9001 instrument control.

Gaugelog is a narrower self-serve product for ISO 9001 manufacturers managing their own instruments, with public per-gauge prices, spreadsheet import, due dates, records, certificates and an audit pack. What changed after the acquisition
MasterControl announced the Qualer acquisition on 3 March 2025. Its current pages present Qualer technology within Asset Excellence and lead with a life-science CMMS that connects asset, calibration, maintenance, quality and manufacturing work. That is the current product context to compare, rather than the old Qualer price page.
Public pricing and self-serve setup
Gaugelog publishes its complete plan range: Free up to 30 gauges and paid plans from $49 to $379 per month billed annually. You can create an account, import the existing spreadsheet and inspect the generated records without scheduling a demo.
Choose the scope your procedure needs
Asset Excellence publishes preventive maintenance, work orders, vendor management, uncertainty and links to a wider life-science quality stack. Gaugelog concentrates on the ISO 9001 calibration record chain for a manufacturer's own instruments. The smaller scope keeps setup and daily use centered on due dates, results, certificates and audit evidence.

Moving existing data
Export the asset list and calibration history from Qualer or Asset Excellence to Excel or CSV, then upload the relevant files to Gaugelog. Review the proposed mapping and reconcile counts, due dates and history before cutover. Maintenance plans, work orders, customer portals and quality-system workflows are outside Gaugelog's import scope.

Is Gaugelog a replacement for Qualer or MasterControl Asset Excellence?
For an ISO 9001 manufacturer that needs a register, calibration records, reminders, certificates and audit evidence for its own instruments, Gaugelog covers that scope. It does not replace preventive maintenance, work orders, uncertainty calculations or the wider MasterControl quality and manufacturing stack.
Does Gaugelog have a customer portal for calibration providers?
No. Gaugelog manages one organization's own instruments and does not provide a portal or billing workflow for a commercial calibration service. Evaluate MasterControl Commercial Calibration Management or another service-lab product when that is the operating model.
Can I import my Qualer data?
Gaugelog imports instrument and calibration-history data from Excel or CSV. Export the relevant lists, upload them and confirm the proposed mapping. Maintenance, work-order, customer and invoice data are outside Gaugelog's import scope.
