Do you charge per user or per seat?
No. Gaugelog is priced by the number of instruments in your register. Users are unlimited on every plan, and read access is free, so operators, engineers and auditors can check a due date or a certificate without anyone buying a seat.
What counts toward the instrument cap?
Any instrument you track in the register: gauges, calipers, micrometers, multimeters, torque wrenches, test equipment. Retired instruments keep their full history and never count. The cap is simply the size of your active register; there is nothing more subtle to it.
Is the Free plan a trial?
No. Free includes the instrument register, reminders, calibration records, certificates, import, export and unlimited users for up to 30 active instruments, with no credit card or expiry. API access starts at Core and priority support starts at Plus.
Are there hidden fees?
No. Certificate branding, Excel import, the interval library and alerts are included on every plan. There are no setup fees, no training fees, no label fees and no paid migration service. The price on this page is the price.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You export it, all of it: the instrument register, the calibration history and the certificate PDFs. The export guarantee applies to every plan, including Free, and it works whether you are leaving or just want a copy. If your register holds more active instruments than the Free plan includes when a paid plan ends, everything stays viewable and exportable; changes pause until you archive below the Free limit or upgrade again.
